To provide a machine translation system for using a meaning analysis result on the basis of LFG to preferably convert input sentences of translation original language into translation objective language by using the meaning analysis result for the input sentences of the translation objective language to preferably obtain a translated result.
A plurality of the machine translation systems such as translation service disclosed on a commercially available machine translation system and a web are used. Meaning analysis is performed on the basis of LFG for the translation original language and translated result sentences of each machine translation system respectively, and the translated result sentences are selected on the basis of a degree of similarity of the meaning analysis result with the translation original language. The translated result with the highest quality is acquired by using comparison determination between input sentences written in the translation original language and the translated result sentences written in the translation objective language output from the plurality of the machine translation systems, without directly using the meaning analysis technology to an intermediate language system machine translation system.
