To perform speedy print processing without omitting data even when the size of print data is large and the spool capacity of a print server in the middle is a little in the case of transferring the print data outputted from a client device through plural print servers to a printer unit while connecting the plural print servers on a network.
The print data prepared at a client device 1 are stored in a print server 2 but next, these print data are not transferred and position information concerning the print server 2 on the network is transferred to the next print server 3. Similarly, the position information of the print server 3 is transferred to a print server 4 as well. Since it is necessary for the print server 4 to transfer the print data to a printer unit 5, a transmission request is transmitted to the print server 2 storing the print data based on the said position information, and the print data are acquired from the print server 2. At the print server 4, these print data are expanded into plot data and transferred to the printer unit 5 later.
