In the system for searching a commodity reported in a magazine, this system is provided with a commodity specification database for storing commodity specification data for specifying the commodity reported in the magazine and the store where that commodity can be purchased, a retrieval means with which a consumer can read and retrieve the commodity specification database through communication terminal equipment, a stock confirming means for confirming the stock of the commodity searched by the consumer while using the retrieval means by accessing a stock managing database, and a stock confirmed result transmitting means for transmitting the result confirmed by the stock confirming means to the communication terminal equipment related to the relevant consumer.
