Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of a complex processing for the extraction and integration of a linear component and to exactly realize the recognition of a subsequent shape as well by extracting the candidate of the shape to be directly recognized from the edge information of an image with a shape extracting filter which is composed of a spoke filter and a shape setting table. CONSTITUTION:In addition to a pre-processing means 10 and an edge extracting means 11, a shape extracting filter 12, which is composed of the spoke filter and the shape setting table, is equipped. Then, the candidate of the shape, which is directly recognized from the edge information of the image, is extracted by this shape recognizing filter 12 and shape recognition 13 is executed. Thus, since the candidate of the shape to be directly recognized from the edge information of the image is extracted, the complex processing is not needed for the extraction and integration of the linear component and the shape recognition can be executed much more stably.
