Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a system to be started up from a target medium other than a system disk and to shorten start-up time and perform automatic start-up from a program if need.
CONSTITUTION: When default designation by a change-over switch 1 is issued by a system switching control means 7 provided at read-only memory 6. a default system number 4 and start-up system instruction information 5 in nonvolatile memory 3 are fetched, and when no default designation is issued, only the system start-up instruction information is fetched, and after that, a program 8 for initial program loading is started up, and a system program stored in the target medium 9 is loaded and executed.
