Abstract:
To reduce porpoising while suppressing lowering of a speed of a vessel.SOLUTION: A system includes an outboard motor, a lift actuator, a pitch angle sensor, a lift position sensor, and a controller. The controller acquires at least one of a pitch angle of a vessel and angular speed of the pitch angle. The controller acquires a lift position of an outboard motor. The controller selectively determines a lift direction from a lift raising direction and a lift lowering direction, on the basis of at least one of the pitch angle of the vessel and the angular speed of the pitch angle, and the lift position of the outboard motor. The controller controls the lift actuator so that the outboard motor is lift-operated in the lift direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
