PURPOSE: To avoid deterioration of the resolution despite increase of the width of each auxiliary electrode by connecting electrically between a resistance layer and the auxiliary electrode only at the position of an auxiliary electrode exposing slit for each resistance plate owing to the presence of an insulated layer.
CONSTITUTION: For an X-side resistance plate 1 (Y-side resistance plate 2) of a tablet, the main electrodes 1A and 1B (2A and 2B) are formed at both ends of the X (Y) direction of an insulated substrate 12. Then plural pieces of auxiliary electrodes 7 (8) are formed with the prescribed width between both electrodes 1A and 1B on the substrate 12. An insulated layer 13 is formed at both sides of the electrode 7 (8) excluding the exposure slit 7A (8A) through which the auxiliary electrode is partly exposed. Furthermore a resistance layer 14 covers each layer 13 on the substrate 12. The layer 14 and the electrode 7 (8) are connected only at the position of the slit 7A (8A) owing to the presence of the layer 13. As a result, the resolution is never deteriorated even though the width of each auxiliary electrode is increased.
