Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suspend a rear cover to a front cover through a connection lever in a tape cassette provided with the front and rear covers to protect a housed magnetic tape from a dust, etc. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic surface of the magnetic tape T mounted along the rear side 7e is protected by the front cover 7. In an opening part 3a of a lower half member 3, the connection lever 13 is rotatably fixed to a shaft 11 which is fixed to a lever supporting part 7d1 at the rear side 7e of front cover 7, while being pressed clockwise (direction of arrow B) with a twisting spring 12. Further, the rear cover 8 is suspended to one end part of the connection lever 13 while being pressed counterclockwise (direction of arrow C) with a twisting spring 15 through a shaft 8c formed integrally with the rear cover, then the rear side of magnetic tape T is protected by the rear cover 8. When the front cover 7 is opened, the rear cover 8 suspended to the front cover 7 through the connection lever 13 is also opened with the cooperation of the front cover 7.
