PURPOSE: To exactly and surely cut both the ends of each tape into the predetermined shape corresponding to respective tapes having a plurality of kinds of tape width and, at the same time, cut the tape at arbitrary position from both the end edges of the tape and house an upper blade holder, a plurality of which exist corresponding to the tape width of each tape.

CONSTITUTION: At the forward end part of a lower cutter main body 3, a tape guide 19 equipped with a plurality of tape guide grooves for guiding tapes having various tape widths is provided. At the same time, at the lower end of each upper blade holder, which is retained through respective retaining holes by a pair of holder retaining shafts 31 and coiled springs 32 arranged in the respective holder retaining shafts 31, a pair of positioning members are suspended in order to insert the tape in a tape cutter device under the condition that respective tape guide grooves and the like and respective positioning members cooperate with each other.
