Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a tape having good appearance by enabling printing while determining the printing line width used at the times of underline printing and frame printing corresponding to an inputted character size or the width of a tape to be used.
CONSTITUTION: Indication means 4A-4D indicate underline printing or frame printing with respect to a part of the character inputted by a character input means 2 and a tape width detector K detects the character size in a part of the inputted character. A line width memory means 42 stores the size of the character inputted by the means 2 and the line width used in the underline printing or frame printing in corresponding relation. A line width determining means 31 compares the detected character size with the memory content of the means 42 to determine line width. A printing control means 30 controls a printing means 3 so that frame printing is applied to a part of a character according to the set line width.
