To grip the tip section of an adhesive tape certainly in a tape sticking device.
A feed chuck 70 is made to draw out the adhesive tape 5 from a tape roll 5a by a predetermined length and a terminal chuck 71 is made to grip the vicinity of its tip. The feed chuck 70 is returned to a home position after it is disengaged and it is made to grip the adhesive tape 5 therein again. After a tape pressing member 73 is descended, a cover printing roller 74 is rolled along the end face 3c of a bag 3, and while forcing the tip side of the adhesive tape 5 onto the end face 3c of the bag 3, it is made to adhere, and it is made to seal by sticking the adhesive tape 5 to a mouth folding section 66. By making a tape cutter 75 descend and by cutting in a condition in which tension is applied to the adhesive tape 5, a part gripped by the feed chuck 70 becomes a new tip section of the adhesive tape 5. Afterward, a cover printing roller 76 which is held back in the rear of the tape pressing member 73 is made to start rolling in the direction separating away from the tape pressing member 73 and it is made to stick the adhesive tape 5 to the top face of the bag 3.
