Title:
TAPERED ROLLER BEARING AND ITS PRE-LOADING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3681023
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time for the running-in operation while improving the handling property without greatly increasing the price.
SOLUTION: In a tapered roller bearing 1 of oil lubrication type, a lubricating film 6 made of the polymer containing fluorine with functional group is formed at least on one of a tapered roller 4 or raceway surfaces of inner and outer rings 2, 3. Because the lubricating film 6 is remarkably excellent in the lubricity enough to reduce the frictional resistance, the displacement of the tapered roller 4 on the raceway surface becomes smooth. When the running-in operation to rotate the inner ring 2 slightly is performed after the assembly of the tapered roller bearing 1, the gap δ1 between a large flange part 2a of the inner ring 2 and a large end face 4a of the tapered roller 4 can be eliminated, and the subsequent preload can be appropriately and surely provided.
