Abstract:

To provide a taxi distribution supporting system with associated apparatus capable of eliminating the use of taxi wireless system, eliminating troublesomeness and ambiguousness inherent in the voice instruction for taxi dispatch, and promoting suppression of the cost.

From each taxi, the current position information, car No. information 125a and tariff information are transmitted to a taxi distribution center via a certain communication network. The taxi distribution center searches any empty taxi located within the specified extent from the taxi call position specified by any taxi customer 5 on the basis of the given information and transmits a taxi call request to the empty taxi together with the distributing position information. The taxi displays the received distributing position information, inputs a response to indicate whether its dispatch is available, and transmits the response together with the taxi No. information 125a of the vehicle concerned. On the basis of the taxi No. information 125a received, the distribution center identifies the vehicle which has transmitted the response, displays the result, and transmits a dispatch instruction to the applicable taxi. The taxi displays that the instruction is received.
