PURPOSE: To provide the telephone exchange in which an incoming call tone is generated to all telephone sets accordingly without decreasing a ring time and functions such as an automatic answering telephone set and a facsimile equipment are used.

CONSTITUTION: A master set 20 is provided with an incoming call detection circuit 21 detecting an incoming call signal sent through an external line L1 and a ring telephone set setting means 22 setting telephone sets 12, 13 ringing by the incoming call signal. The ringing telephone set setting means 22 sets the telephone sets so that the sum of static capacitance when viewing the external line L1 of the incoming call signal detection circuit 21 and the telephone sets 12, 13 is within the standard value. Moreover, a modular jack (17-19) with speaker amplifying the incoming call signal detected by the incoming call signal detection circuit 21 and generating the incoming call signal is provided to other telephone sets 14-16 than the telephone sets ringing by the incoming call signal.
