PURPOSE: To obtain a telephone set with which aural communication can be made easily by using a microcomputer applying a voice recognizing method.
CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer CPU1 controls various module devices for input, output, operation, storage, etc. The voices supplied through a microphone attached at the front side of a telephone are converted into digital signals by an input module 20 and sent to an arithmetic logical circuit ALU5. The ALU5 performs the bit compression processing to the input digital signals and stores these compressed signals to a memory module 30. For the voice output of the operating guidance to a speaker, the data given from the module 30 is converted into the output digital data by the ALU5 and sent to an output module 40. The module 40 converts the digital signals sent from the ALU5 into analog signals and amplifies them to deliver the voice output or dial signals to a speaker. Thus the aural communication is possible without using hands by using the external speaker and microphone.
