To provide a temperature compensating cubic function generating circuit of a polygon approximation system which is capable of drastically reducing power consumption.
The circuit is provided with a cubic function generating circuit 10 of a polygonal approximation system which consists of a first polygon producing a change in temperature in a low temperature (-30 to -20 °C), second polygon producing a change in temperature in a medium/low temperature (-20 to 0 °C), third polygon producing a change in temperature in a normal temperature (0 to 50 °C), fourth polygon producing a change in temperature in a medium/high temperature (50 to 70 °C) and fifth polygon producing a change in temperature in a high temperature (70 to 85 °C); and a polygon current control circuit 20 having a temperature sensor function in which the fifth polygon circuit producing the change in high temperature is turned off at a temperature equal to or lower than a medium/low temperature, and the first polygon circuit producing the change in low temperature is turned off at a temperature equal to or higher than a medium/low temperature. With this configuration, a required minimum optimum current corresponding to an ambient temperature is caused to flow to cut an unnecessary polygon current.
