To perform correct temperature management using temperature sensors fewer than hot spots.
The temperature control system comprises a plurality of operating units 12 formed in a chip 11; a performance monitor circuit 13 for monitoring performance of the plurality of operating units 12 and outputting performance information; a temperature sensor 14 formed in the chip 11 and outputting a detection signal about the chip temperature; a temperature detector 15 outputting temperature information based on the detection signal; and a system controller 16 for storing a table showing the relation of the performance of the plurality of operating units 12, the chip temperature, and the hot spot temperature, and estimating the hot spot temperature from the performance information and the temperature information.
