To shorten the time of a roll changing and to reduce the down time of a line by installing an upper straightening roll unit reversing device on a roll changing device which takes in and out a straightening roll unit from a housing.
When an upper straightening roll unit 10 is changed, it is drawn from a housing 21 by moving a changing carriage 33 to the working side on a changing rail 32 with a drawing cylinder 38, the upper straightening roll unit 10 is reversed by loosening both side bolts 6, 13 releasing fixing of bearing blocks 3, 10 with blocks 7, 8 and turning stoppers 5, 12, rotating a worm 15 with a handle 16 and turning a worm gear 14 and a bearing 9 by about 180°, and the upward faced roll assembly can be changed. Because the carrying time is made without requiring on the result, the down time of the line caused on the roll re-changing can be shortened.
