To easily perform playback from an optional playback position in a content in a terminal device acquiring the content by performing communication with a server.

The terminal device includes a communication part 12 performing communication with the server in which content data are accumulated and a playback processing part 20 playing back the content data obtained through the communication. A bookmark forming part 21 forming bookmarks in the content data during playback by the playback processing part 20 and a bookmark storing part D1 storing the bookmarks are also included. When indication to read out the bookmark is inputted by a user, the indicated bookmark is read out from the bookmark storing part D1. A request for acquisition of content data specified by the description content of the read out bookmark is transmitted to the server and the content data transmitted from the server are played back by the playback processing part 20.
