PURPOSE: To obtain a termination resistance circuit and a method for attaching and detaching termination resistance which can attach and detach the termination resistance by an external switch signal and can realize the maintenance free such as the keeping, fitting and removing.
CONSTITUTION: At a signal line 4b between computer equipment 1 and 2, a regulator 6 provided at a power line 4a side is connected through a termination resistance 5. In the termination resistance circuit, a unilateral switching 8 composed of an active element serial to the termination resistance 5 is provided, and by the external switch signal, the unilateral switching element 8 is turned ON and OFF, and thus, the attaching and detaching of the termination resistance 5 to a bus line 3 are performed.
