Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means (an inspection support method) for predicting if there will be pathological perfect response (pCR) if chemotherapy before operation using anticancer agents is carried out by using a sample (tissue slice of breast cancer) collected from a breast cancer patient to whom the chemotherapy before operation using anticancer agents is carried out.SOLUTION: An inspection support method includes the steps of: [1] obtaining a fluorescent image of a breast cancer tissue slice displaying luminescent spots of fluorescent nanoparticles labelling one or more types of breast cancer related protein; [2] obtaining one or more types of indexes related to an expression level of the breast cancer related protein on the basis of the luminescent spots of the fluorescent image; and [3] obtaining information for predicting pCR by analysis using the one or more types of indexes.SELECTED DRAWING: None
