PURPOSE: To improve the setting precision of rainfall conditions by composing a fainfall generator of an injection nozzle and a nozzle position adjusting mechanism, and varying the diameter and position of the nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: A rainfall mechanism 103 is installed above the top surface of a protection container 1, i.e. rainfall chamber 3 and consists of the raindrop generator composed of the injection nozzle 16 and a nozzle position adjusting mechanism 17, and a pump 12, partition valve 13, relief valve 14, water supply pipe 15, and feed supply tank 18 as feed supply facilities. The injection nozzle 16 is settable at an optional vertical position by the nozzle position adjusting mechanism 17 and replaceable with a nozzle having a different diameter. Then, the amount of raindrops injected from the nozzle 16 is controlled through the relief valve 14. Therefore, the nozzle diameter, injection position, and feed water pressure are varied to easily set rainfall conditions and improve the setting precision greatly.
