Abstract:

To provide a text data editing device capable of displaying the content of text data in such a way that a user can easily understand the content of character data even when the display size of the entire text data is reduced.

The text data editing device includes a dividing means 104 for dividing the text data into a plurality of pieces of partial information each having a linguistic meaning; a selection means 114 for selecting on the basis of predetermined conditions a predetermined piece of partial information from the plurality of pieces of partial information provided by the dividing means 104; a resizing means 114 for editing the piece of partial information selected by the selection means 114; and a display means 116 for displaying the text data in a text data display area 210 after the text data are edited by the resizing means 114.
