To provide a thermal fuse easily manufacturable, improving mass productivity, and capable of easily installing a fuse element at a predetermined position in a case.
This thermal fuse is equipped with: the fuse element 4 with first and second lead conductors 2 and 3 connected to both its ends; and a generally cylindrical case 1 for installing the fuse element 4 in its inside. The temperature fuse is so structured that a taper part 6 is formed on the side of one end of the inside surface of the case 1; a projecting part 7 is formed on the other end side thereof; the lead conductor 3 is inserted into a hole 8 formed by the projecting part 7 and the lead conductor 3 is held nearly at a center position of the case 1; a generally ring-like cover 9 having an outside shape corresponding to the taper part 6 and having a hole 9a at its center is mounted on the taper part 6 of the case 1; the lead conductor 2 is inserted into the hole 9a and projected to the outside; and the first and second lead conductors 2 and 3 are fixed by adhesives 10 respectively applied to both ends of the case 1.
