Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a detection responsiveness of temperature variation of a heating resister by a minimum change and to change a radiation characteristic of a radiation member.
SOLUTION: A thermal print head 1 is so constituted that an insulation substrate to be a head substrate 11 on which heating resisters 12 arranged along one side edge, driving ICs for driving the heating resisters and a temperature sensor 18 for monitoring the temperature of the heating resisters are provided, is mounted on a radiation member 20. A space 22 for adjusting a thermal conductivity is provided at a rear side of the head substrate 11 corresponding to a position where the temperature sensor 18 is provided on the head substrate 11, thereby a temperature detection responsiveness of the temperature sensor 18 is adjusted. An adhesive member 21 having a desired thermal conductivity for adhering the head substrate 11 to the radiation member 20 is selected, thereby the thermal conductivity of the radiation member is adjusted.
