Title:
THERMAL RECORDING HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60171169
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the forming of a high-quality picture possible by providing electrodes on a heating element layer in an opposed position to each other, creating a protective film entirely on the electrodes and also a layer consisting of a high thermoconductive material protruded on a protective film between electrodes.

CONSTITUTION: A heating element layer 8 (for example, tantalum nitrite) is created on an insulator substrate 3 and a common earthing electrode 9 and a common signal electrode 10 are provided with a microclearance set in between on said layer. Then after spreading an insulative protection film 21 (SiO2 or tantalum oxide) on the entire surface of these electrodes, a highly thermoconductive and wear-resistant material (for example, hard chromium) layer 22 is provided on a protective film 21 between the earthing electrode 9 and the signal electrode 10 in more protruded form that the other part.
