Abstract:
PURPOSE: To apply the quantity of heat sufficient for transfer by pressing and heating a transfer film and a transfer medium between a heating transfer roll and the flexible support belt capable of pressing both of them in contact with a part of the entire peripheral surface of the heating transfer roll.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal transfer device is equipped with a heating transfer roll 1 and the flexible support belt 2a becoming a curved state by the pressing force of the roll 1 and the surface speeds of both of the heating transfer roll 1 and the support belt 2a are made same to perform heating transfer. Since the support belt 2a is curved along the curved surface of the heating transfer roll 1 when the transfer surface of a transfer film 6 and a transfer medium 7 are brought into contact with the support belt 2a under pressure by the heating transfer roll 1, the contact part of the transfer film 6 and the transfer medium 7 is two-dimensionally formed into a curved state and the pressure contact time of them becomes long to sufficiently transmit the heat of quantity necessary for transfer.
