Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve ink transfer properties and cleaning resistance by combining an ink sheet wherein an ink layer is provided on a support with a transfer material with Clark rigidity of 10-100 wherein a receiving layer is provided on other support.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal transfer recording medium for a clothing label is constituted by combining an ink sheet wherein a ink layer based on a colorant and a resin binder is provided on a support with a transfer material with Clark rigidity of 10-100 wherein a receiving layer based on nylon is provided to at least one surface of other support. The reflectivity of the reflecting element of the transfer material is pref. 50% or more and the receiving layer is pref. formed by laminating a nylon film with a thickness of 1-100μm or by applying a solution based on nylon to form a film with a thickness of 1-100μm. The surface smoothness of the receiving layer is pref. 300sec or more. As an example of the support of the transfer material, there is foamed polyester or a nonwoven fabric subjected to supercalendering.
