PURPOSE: To make it possible to impart a uniform coating property without requiring the heat resistance of a base film at the time of coating, by preparing paraffinic wax having a coloring material dispersed therein as an O/W type aqueous dispersoid.
CONSTITUTION: Conventional thermal transfer wax component-containing heat- meltable ink is dispersed in water as an O/W type emulsion using anionic and nonionic surfactants to prepare aqueous ink and an ink sheet is formed from said aqueous ink. By the use of the surfactants as an anion-nonion combination or a combination of nonion with HLB of 12 or more and anion with HLB of 7 or less, the good O/W type emilsion type aqueous ink is prepared. The use amount of the surfactants is about 1W50pts.wt., pref. 2W20pts.wt. to 100pts. wt. of paraffinic wax.
