Abstract:
To provide a device for facilitating thermally assisted magnetic recording (TAMR), and also to provide a method of manufacturing the same.
An integrated type focusing element such as cylindrical lenses of one or more or a concave mirror are introduced to a light guide system extending from a laser diode to a waveguide, light from the laser diode is focused on the waveguide and a near plasmon antenna using the above element. Hence, a divergence laser beam of the laser diode is compensated, and coupling efficiency between the light guide system and the waveguide is improved.
