Title:
THERMALLY BONDABLE 'SHOJI' PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03191191
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To conduct heat-bonding easily to a wooden bar, and to enable peeling from the bar without leaving an attachment by laminating an adhesive layer composed of the copolymer of ethylene at specific weight % and vinyl acetate, etc. and having specific thickness on one surface of a 'shoji' paper body.

CONSTITUTION: An adhesive layer 2 consisting of the copolymer of 90-70wt.% ethylene and at least 10-30wt.% of one kind of vinyl acetate, acrylic acid, acrylic acid ester, methacrylic acid, or methacrylic acid ester and having thickness of 7-30μm is formed. The adhesive layer 2 is left as it is or oxidized by ozone, the layer 2 is laminated on a 'shoji' paper body 1 through an extrusion lamination method, and one surface of the adhesive layer 2 is corona-discharged and an oxidized surface 3 is formed. The oxidized surface 3 is heat-bonded with a bar 4 at an adhesive temperature of 100°C by using a household iron. Accordingly, the 'shoji' paper body 1 can be heat-bonded with the wooden bar 4 easily without damaging feeling.
