Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiaromatic semicrystalline thermoplastic copolyimide having high water absorbability, heat resistance and productivity.SOLUTION: The semiaromatic semicrystalline thermoplastic copolyimide is obtained by polymerization of at least following constituent monomers. (a) an aromatic compound comprising two anhydride functional group and/or a carboxylic acid derivative and/or an ester derivative thereof; (b) diamine of formula (I) NH2-R-NH2 (in the formula R is a bivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon radical optionally comprising a hetero atom), the two amine functional groups being separated by X carbon atoms and X being 4 to 12; and(c) diamine of formula (II) NH2-R'-NH2 (in the formula, R' is a bivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon radical optionally comprising a hetero atom), two amine functional groups being separated by Y carbon atoms and Y being 10 to 20.
