Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prepare a polymer alloy improved in weatherability, impact strength, heat resistance, etc., by compounding a specific rubber-reinforced resin, an arom. polyester resin, and a copolymer of functional monomers. CONSTITUTION:95-40 pts.wt. at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of an arom. vinyl compd., a vinyl cyanide compd., a (meth)acrylic ester compd., and other copolymerizable monomers (provided that the sum of the hydrogenated diene polymer and the monomer is 100 pts.wt.) is graft copolymerized in the presence of 5-60 pts.wt. hydrogenated diene polymer obtd. by hydrogenating a diene polymer comprising 0-60wt.% arom. vinyl compd. and 100-40wt.% conjugated diene to give a rubber-reinforced resin. 10-90 pts.wt. said resin is compounded with 90-10 pts.wt. arom. polyester resin and 0.1-30 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. in total of the reinforced resin and the polyester resin) copolymer obtd. by copolymerizing a monomer component contg. at least one functional monomer selected from the group consisting of an epoxidized monomer, a carboxylated monomer, an amidated monomer, a hydroxylated monomer, and a dicarboxylic anhydride monomer.
