Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin battery reduced in a size or increased in capacity and improved in connection reliability. SOLUTION: This thin battery is provided with a battery element unit constructed of a plurality of layered unit cells 6, an outer resin film sealing the battery element unit integrally and watertightly, and connecting positive and negative terminals 4, 5 in the battery element unit locked and drawn to the outside of the outer resin film. Each of the unit cells 6 is constructed of a sheet positive electrode 2 with a positive electrode collector 2a adhesively carrying a positive electrode active material and having a protruded terminal part 2b and a sheet negative electrode 3 with a negative electrode collector 3a adhesively carrying a negative electrode active material and having a protruded terminal part 3b, and the sheet negative electrode 3 are laminated on the sheet positive electrode 2 main surface via a sheet separator 1 having ion conductivity. An extension 2b' of one of the positive electrode collector 2a' and an extension 3b' of the negative electrode collector 3a' in the unit cell 6 serve as the connecting positive and negative terminals 4, 5, and the extension part elements 2b', 3b' and a positive electrode collector 2a extension part 2b and a negative collector 3a extension 3b in another unit cell 6 are connected mutually so that the extension parts with the same polarity are integrated together.
