A method for manufacturing a thin-film electrochemical device comprises steps of; molding a ceramic element of a near net shape including a flat base-substance region and several tube-shaped regions; impregnating the above flat base-substance region with a non-conductive material; impregnating each of the above tube-shaped region with a porous conductive material; coating a porous catalyst material on the impregnated region to form one side of a cathode face and an anode face; adhering a ceramic electrolyte coating on the porous catalyst electrode material; coating the porous catalyst electrode material on the adhering ceramic electrolyte coating; adhering the porous conductive material on this porous catalyst electrode to form the other side of the above cathode face and anode face.
