Title:
THREAD DELIVERY DEVICE FOR SEWING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1033865
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To uniformly and forcedly deliver thread required for stitch formation by providing a thread delivery mechanism for rotating and forcedly delivering the thread required for the stitch formation and a transmission mechanism for transmitting motion required for the delivery of the thread from a driving shaft to the thread delivery mechanism.

This thread delivery device 10 incorporated in a sewing machine transmits the rotation through the transmission mechanism to a thread delivery roller 12 and intermittently rotates it when the sewing machine is driven and an upper shaft 3 is rotated. Then, a driven roller 13 is rotated by the rotation of the thread delivery roller 12 and the thread held between both rollers 12 and 13 is forcedly sent out to the side of a sewing machine needle. At the time, in the case of changing the amount of the thread accompanying the change of a sewing object and a sewing method, etc., by operating a slider operation part 27 and fixing the engaging groove of a pitch change slider 24 matched with one of the positionings of a slider fixing plate 30, the pitch of a slide 17 is changed and the rotation amount of the thread delivery roller 12, that is a thread delivery amount, is adjusted.
