To prevent the entangling of a needle thread end and a bobbin thread end and thread hanging by turning a wiper from a saving position immediately after cutting thread after sewing is ended, returning it to the saving position and starting the sewing without pressing the needle thread to a presser foot.

Immediately after cutting the thread after the sewing is ended, the needle thread end 4a is positioned at the back of the presser foot 3 between the presser foot 3 and a feeder. When the sewing is ended, a rotor actuator 8 is operated by the completion signals of thread cutting, and with the position of 12 o'clock on a clock face as the saving position, the wiper 7 is tentatively turned clockwise to the position of 9 o'clock, inversely turned counterclockwise and returned to the saving position. By the turning movement of the wiper 7, the wiper 7 passes through while pushing the needle thread between a sewing machine needle 2 and the presser foot 3 aside by a hook-like part at the tip of the wiper 7, however, at the time of counterclockwise inverse turning, the needle thread is hooked by the hook-like part at the tip of the viper 7 and the needle thread end 4a is pulled out to the front upper side of the presser foot 3. Thus, the needle thread end 4a is sewn in without thread hanging.
