Abstract:
To obtain three-dimensional image data with equalized luminance by estimating the noise level and automatically setting the appropriate gain/dynamic range without impairing the real-time property.
An ultrasonic probe 1 only receives signals with a smaller number of scans than a regular three-dimensional volume scan, and a level adjusting part 7 detects the noise level from each received signal obtained by the reception and sets the gain/dynamic range in a transmission/receiving part 3 based on the detected noise level. The operation of optimization of signal reception is performed in this way.
