Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the detecting accuracy of a potentiometer, by making it possible to adjust the set values of three variable resistors depending on the apparent output voltage value of the potentiometer at the operating angle of a throttle lever preset at random two positions and the standard output voltage value.

CONSTITUTION: Three variable resistors 4W6 to correct the output of a potentiometer 1 linked to a throttle lever and provided. The set value of the variable resistor 4 is adjusted to unify to the output of the potentiometer when the lever is set at a random first operating angle, and the set value of the variable resistor 5 is adjusted to unify to the standard output of the potentiometer 1 based on the measurement of the no-load engine rotation frequency at the time. From the both outputs, and similar two outputs when the lever is set at a random second operating angle, a coefficient is found, to which the set value of the variable resistor 6 is adjusted to unify. By the output of the potentiometer 1 after such an adjustment, the operating angle of the throttle lever is detected.
