Abstract:
The indexable insert has a bearing surface (3) for fixing to a rotatable milling tool, and a cutting face formed with cutting edges (4, 4`, 4``), where the insert exhibits a centrally symmetrical cutting edge contour on one side. A cutting face (2, 2`) has a concave wedge or hollow shape in plan view with an angle to a wedge or hollow base (21) relative to the bearing surface, where the cutting edge formed by the bearing surface and the cutting face is rounded at an opening side of the angle.
