Title:
Ti-2 PROTEIN DERIVED FROM TRIATOMA INFESTANS HAVING BLOOD CLOTTING INHIBITION ACTIVITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3648549
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new protein having blood clotting inhibition activity.
SOLUTION: The present invention provides a Ti-2 protein which is a new protein derived from Triatoma infestans and provide a Ti-2 gene encoding the protein. The Ti-2 protein has blood clotting inhibition activity and, accordingly, pharmaceuticals containing the Ti-2 protein as an active component are useful as a blood clotting inhibition agent for the treatment and prevention of myocardial infarction, pulmonary infarction and cerebral infarction. The Ti-2 protein is highly expectable also in the field for the development of pharmaceuticals as a leading compound of a blood clotting inhibitor.
