To provide a tile easy to be piled at the time of a stack by providing a projecting part at a rear end of a rear face of the tile, providing a jetty at a surface edge part along a ridge side of the tile and providing a recessed part fittable into the projecting part on a ridge side of the jetty.

A jetty 14a is provided on a surface edge part along a ridge side of a surface 11a of a tile 10a and infiltration of rainwater into the piled tiles 10a is prevented. On a ridge side of the jetty 14a, a bottom part is provided with a recessed part 15a flush with the surface 11a. On a rear face at a position just under each recessed part 15a, a rib-shaped projecting part 12a is provided, and rectangular dimension and position of horizontal cross section of the projecting part 12a are made substantially the same shape dimension and position as those of each recessed part 15a. As a result, tiles can be piled in parallel states one another by fitting projecting parts of upper tiles into each recessed part of lower tiles when the tiles are overlapped in the vertical direction. Because the recessed parts can not be seen from the outside by partially overlapping and laying the tiles, neat external appearance can be obtained.
