The distance between an upper rim 2 and a lower rim can be changed arbitrarily in response to the bead width of a tire 1 and the uniformity of a tire 1 is inspected by rotating the upper bead part and lower bead part of the tire 1 while holding respectively by these upper rim 2 and lower rim. The tire tester is provided with a shaft 9 for centering connected to the upper rim 2, a movable side spindle 10 for supporting the shaft 9 for centering rotatably, a cylinder 15 for slide arm arranged in a line to the shaft 9 for centering and elevating the movable side spindle 10, a fixed side spindle 4 connected to the lower rim and engaged with the shaft 9 for centering when the upper rim 2 holds the upper bead part and a spindle support member 5 for supporting the fixed side spindle 4 rotatably and fixed on a prescribed height position.
