Title:
TIRE AND VULCANIZING MOLD FOR THE TIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013078966
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To suppress air retention during vulcanization and furthermore to effectively suppress air leakage upon mounting a tire on a rim.

A plurality of projections 27 radially extending and having a height of at least 0.05 mm is disposed on an axially outside surface 13a of both bead sections 13, wherein the projections 27 are formed by a fluidized rubber during vulcanization to intrude into recessed grooves of a vulcanization mold in a complementary relation with the projections 27. At the start of vulcanization, as air is guided to be discharged to the outside through the recessed grooves, air retention is suppressed. Since the projections 27 have a height of less than 0.5 mm, the projections 27 are easily collapsed when the vulcanized tire 11 is mounted on the rim and filled with compressed air, and thereby, air leakage upon mounting the tire 11 on the rim can be effectively suppressed.
