Abstract:
This process consists in reacting a 1-acyloxyadamantane whose acyl radical contains from 1 to 4 carbon atoms with a receptor compound, in a solvent of the linear aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon type, in the presence of concentrated sulphuric acid at room temperature.
This process is very particularly intended for the adamantylation of aromatic compounds.
