PURPOSE: To provide an agitating apparatus which agitates stored grain by the reciprocal motion of agitating members in a storage tank and has a troubleshooting means, e.g. alarming on an occasion that a reciprocating carriage does not arrive at a detection point in a specified time after it has passed the point.
CONSTITUTION: An agitation apparatus is equipped with an agitating member which vertically and evenly agitates the grain stored in a square grain-storage tank. The agitation apparatus comprises the first carriage 10 which is movably bridging over the right and the left side wall 4, 5 of the corn storage tank 1, the second carriage 20 which is mounted on the first carriage 10 and laterally movable on it, agitating members 23, 24 which are attached on the second carriage 20, the first travel-driving mechanism 30 which makes reciprocation of the first carriage 10 in the direction of traveling between the front and the rear side wall 2, 3 of the corn storage tank 1 and the second travel-driving mechanism 40 for the second carriage 20. The agitation apparatus has a troubleshooting means, e.g. alarming on the occasion that the reciprocating first carriage 10 dose not arrive at the first detection point 81 or the second detection point 82 placed on the corn storage tank 1 in a specified time after it has passed the first detection point 81.
