PURPOSE: To make it possible to reduce swinging of a pointer or to eliminate occurrence of the swinging of the pointer, and to make an indicator indicate the residual quantity of fuel without lowering precision even when a cause of the swinging of the pointer is generated, regarding an indicating device of fuel for a vehicle for indicating the quantity of fuel remaining in a fuel tank (the residual quantity).
CONSTITUTION: In an indicating device of fuel for a vehicle, the residual quantity of gasoline G in a fuel tank 1 is indicated by an indicator 21 on the basis of a resistance value of a variable resistor unit 14 of a liquid level detector 11 having the variable resistor unit 14 of which the resistance value varies in accordance with displacement of the liquid level F of the gasoline G held in the fuel tank 1. An acceleration-tilt angle detecting sensor 51 which supplies a power from a battery 31 to the indicator 21 when it is detected that an acceleration or a tilt angle does not yet reach a prescribed value, and interrupts the supply of the power from the battery 31 to the indicator 21 when it is detected that the acceleration or the tilt angle reaches or exceeds the prescribed value, is provided.
