Title:
HEAT-ACCUMULATION MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5838780
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat-accumulation material having suppressed supercooling tendency and stable melting point and freezing point, by adding sodium silicate as a nucleating agent for the prevention of supercooling to hydrated calcium bromide.
CONSTITUTION: The objective heat-accumulation material is obtained by mixing (A) calcium bromide hexahydrate with (B) sodium silicate[e.g. Na2SiO3 (amorphous), Na2SiO3.9H2O, etc.) as the nucleating agent for the prevention of supercooling and (C) a thickener (preferably carboxylmethylcellulose) for the dispersion and fixing of the nucleating agent. The amount of the component (B) is preferably more than its solubility, preferably ≥10wt%.
