PURPOSE: To enlarge the surface area of heat transfer and to improve the thermal efficiency of the titled hot water boiler by a method wherein in the hot water boiler such as a gas burning hot water boiler, the gaps among pipes of a pipes of a fin block within a combustion chamber are blocked and a combustion gas is guided from the lower to the upper part of the fin block along both sides of the fin block.
CONSTITUTION: The forced combustion type gas burning hot water boiler heats water in the pipes 6 of the fine block comprising the fin 5 and the pipes 6 when the exhaust combustion gas generating from a bunsen flame passes through the fin block. In this case, partition plates 14 are interposed among the pipes 6 of the fin block so that the passage of the exhaust combustion gas through the fin block is prevented. Further, the entire fin block is housed within a box 15 so as to prevent the entry of air into the box from outside is prevented. As a consequence, the high temperature combustion gas first runs against the lower part of the fin block and then flows toward the upper part thereof along the outer circumferences of the outermost pipes 6 on both sides of the fin block.
