PURPOSE: To easily operate the file constitution of a required document stored in a storage medium and to efficiently output picture information for many documents or pages.
CONSTITUTION: When an index sheet using operation part 10 selects the picture information of a document or page stored in a storage medium included in a storage part 3 based upon an index sheet outputted from an index sheet output part 9, the constitution of a file for selecting processing (the deletion, insertion, substitution, copying, rearrange-ment, connection, division, grouping, etc., of picture information) corresponding to the picture information and storing/ managing the information selected from the storage medium in accordance with the processing is operated. In addition, processing for selecting the picture information of a document or page stored in the storge medium based upon the index sheet and outputting the picture information of all documents or pages corresponding to respective picture information on the index sheet exclusing the picture information can also be executed.
